The European Parliament Rapporteur for Turkey Kati Piri responded to the claims of Turkish use of prohibited weapons during the ongoing military offensive seeking to invade North and East Syria.

Piri wrote on Twitter: “Turkey must be held responsible for war crimes committed against Kurdish civilians. The use of white phosphorus is not only cruel but also strictly prohibited by international law.”
